Video Record Requests

In accordance with Ohio Revised Code §149.43, the Englewood Police Department may charge fees for the actual costs (labor time, materials and overhead costs) associated with the retrieving, downloading, reviewing, redacting, uploading and producing of video records requested under current law.

Fee Structure:

Hourly Rate: Up to $75 per hour for each video record requested    Maximum Fee: $750 per request

How to Submit a Request:

All video record requests must be submitted to the Police Department's Records section by email (police@englewood.oh.us) or by telephone, 937-836-1194, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Requests will not be accepted on weekends or holidays. Any request submitted electronically will be received by the Police Records Custodian no later than the next business day.

Requests should include specific details such as: relevant date(s) and time(s), description of the video(s) requested, and any identifying information.

Processing & Payment:

An estimated cost will be provided within five business days.

Payment is required before processing begins.

Accepted payment methods: Cash, Check (payable to "City of Englewood") with Government-issued photo ID, or Credit Card in person during normal business hours or onlineIf a check is returned for any reason, processing will be suspended, and written notice will be provided. The request may be canceled if not resolved within 10 business days.

Final Cost Adjustments:

If actual costs exceed the estimate, the department may charge up to 20% more (with prior notice) up to the $750 maximum. Any additional payment must be made before the video is released.
