Mr. Gough grew up in Dayton, and is a proud graduate of Sinclair Community College (A.A.S., 1997), University of Dayton (B.A., 1999) and Wright State University (M.A., 2002). He served in the United States Army Reserve in the 1990’s, and has resided in Englewood with his wife Cathy since 2001. He has worked for Montgomery County since 2000. Gough was appointed to Englewood City Council in 2016. He was elected to City Council in 2017, and re-elected in 2021. Prior to serving on City Council, Gough volunteered on the Englewood Planning Commission for five years. He currently serves as the City Council Representative on Planning Commission. 

Over the years, Mr. Gough has been a volunteer/coach at Northmont City Schools, SAY Soccer, Englewood Little League, Northmont Future Bolts Basketball, and Northmont Wee Bolts Football. He additionally has served leadership roles on St. Paul’s Parish Council (two terms) and with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Pastoral Council (Dayton representative) (two terms), and was elected chairperson for both councils. He was previously a certified Religious Education instructor for 10 years at St. Paul.  

His wife and daughter are graduates from Northmont High School and his son is actively attending Northmont.
